| Relationships, their impact, their consequences and their pitfalls are very different from one realm to the next. |
| Heaven |
| In Heaven, all angels are taught to love and worship God above all else. Any form of affection directed towards other angels (and, even worse, towards humans or demons) is therefore forbidden, because robs from the Creator of all things the adoration that should be his alone, but also because it bypasses Genesis and makes free reproduction between angels possible. The result? Love is a sin punishable by death, or, if with a demon, punishable by wing removal. Some have escaped that verdict by falling to Hell because of love, or, like Belial, who became a Satan known as Mad Hatter, because of lust. Children of angels, often deformed and characterized by telltale crimson eyes, have been conceived, and hide within the lower level slums of Heaven, where they are eliminated by the Thrones through stings, traps, and poisoned food. For an angel, love and death are one. |
| Hell |
| In Hell, there are no rules... the more virtues sullied, the better. Nevertheless, some demons -up to the Lord of Hell, if the rumours are true- have found themselves bound in a passionate love for one person. A love as single-minded as the one angels vow to feel towards their God. |
| Earth |
| Earth is the only realm where all sorts of relationships coexist, from nuns married to God to harems harbouring multiple wives for one man. But, in between those extremes, it is the world where the common ideal is that of marriage and "happily ever after" with one person. A situation that would be utterly impossible in Heaven or Hell. |
